PhD Programmes

The Department provides the highest level of academic degrees by the PhD Programme in Statistical Sciences. Starting from 28th cycle, the PhD Programme is structured in two specializations.

The call for the 28th cycle will be published in the middle of May 2012 with deadline middle of June 2012. The selection will occur on July 10, 2012. Courses will start on 1 October 2012.

European Projects

The Department staff is deeply involved in the 7th European Framework research activities.

Statistics seminars 2012

We regularly organizes scientific events within a large variety of topics related to its research areas and also in conjuction with the PhD programmes held. 

Young Research Fellows' Lunch Seminar Series

The present  cicle is usually scheduled on the first Thursday of each month from 1.15 to 2.15 p.m. Each research fellow may invite a Discussant to join in.The time setting is the following: 30 min. for presentation. 10 min. for the invited Discussant - if any -  and the last 20 minutes for the  debate.
